The Quintynes recruited Chef Derrick from the chic and electrifying culinary scene of Baltimore, Md.

Derrick received his culinary education at BIC Culinary School in Baltimore. During his career, Derrick has had the opportunity to work with some of the brightest stars in the culinary industry. Chef Derrick led the culinary team as Chef de Cuisine in the kitchens of Baltimore restaurant Taste, owned by Executive Chef Ann Nault.

Chef Derrick moved into the big leagues during his tenure as Executive Chef at Blue-Sea Grille, with restaurant giant Big Steaks Management, the owners of the famous Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

Chef Derrick is most proud of receiving the nod from Chef-Owner Jerry Edwards, CPCE, and his legendary Executive Chef John Walsh of the ultimate four-star Baltimore catering company, Chef’s Expressions. Every member of their team is from the most talented pool of chefs and caterers in the profession, making Oliver Twist extremely fortunate to have Chef Derrick leading its culinary team. Chef Derrick’s philosophy: “Food is an art form, and I think I’m an artist at heart.” When asked about his passion for cooking, Derrick says, “It’s all about seafood. I love it as my canvas.”
